Cape Cod - Suddenly the Sun

“Suddenly the Sun”
Old Harbor Lifesaving Station, circa 1872
Race Point Beach, Provincetown, Massachuesetts
The Lifesaving Service was responsible for saving thousands of lives prior to the establishment of the U.S. Coast Guard. This is a marvelous spot to watch the sun come up. You first see a bright glow and then suddenly -- POP -- it is up, thus “Suddenly the Sun”. As you may have noticed, the Crescent moon is still in the sky.
